Chase Argent, a senior at Curry High School, has earned a reputation as a multi-talented athlete and dedicated student.
On the football field, he takes on the dual role of wide receiver and safety for head coach Jace Cordell. In baseball, he juggles the responsibilities of shortstop, second baseman, and pitcher under the direction of coach Jonas Barnett. These varied roles reveal not only Chase’s athleticism, but also his adaptability and team spirit.
Chase’s favorite part of being a Curry athlete is “the relationship I’ve built with my teammates.” This camaraderie fuels his commitment to the game and adds meaning to each practice and competition.
Academically, Chase’s dedication is just as impressive. Holding a 4.1 GPA, he is involved in numerous school organizations, including the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Junior Ambassadors, and Walker County Youth Leadership. These roles speak to his commitment to personal growth and leadership, which he hopes to channel into a future career in elementary education.
After graduating in May 2025, Chase plans to attend Troy University in Troy, Alabama. He hopes to pay it forward and inspire the next generation of athletes by becoming a coach. There is no doubt that the lessons learned during his time at Curry have prepared him for success in the future. WL
