Looking to attend some local Halloween festivities this spooky season? October 28 is the day! From trunk-or-treats to 5K races to pet costume parties, there is something just around the corner for everyone in Walker County to enjoy.
Here is a list of events you can look forward to this Saturday!
Family-Friendly Events
- Camp COOL’s 5k BOO-Run – Gamble Park – 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
- Trick or Treat Tennis, presented by Jasper High School Tennis – K-8th Grade Clinic 8 a.m.-9:30 a.m., $15 | High School – Adults Round Robin 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m., $20. Costumes welcome!
- Boldo Fire Department Movie Night – showing Hotel Transylvania – Gate opens at 6:15 p.m.; movie begins at 7:00 p.m. – $10 per car. – Costume contest for ages 12 and under – Bring your own chairs and/or blankets!
- Faye Whittemore Farms’ Annual Halloween Bash and Trunk or Treat – 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. – $5 admission; $5 for a haunted hayride – Live band from 7:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
- Stall-and-Treat with Horses! – 6:00 p.m. – Spooky scavenger hunt, hayride, Stall-and-Treat, and movie in the arena – Address: 1428 Bush Drive, Jasper, AL 35504
- Hilloween – Halloween on the Hill – Downtown Carbon Hill – 5 p.m. – Fun, Food, Inflatables, & Games!
- McBoo Fall Carnival at McDonald’s – 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Carnival games, prizes, photo booth, crafts, and a costume contest – $2.99 Happy Meals all day!
- Friendship Independent Church of God Fall Festival – 4:00 p.m. – Hotdogs and chips, chili cook-off, cake walk, and games!
- BAM Arcade Boopalooza Trunk-or-Treat – 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – “Everyone is invited to set up their car and join the fun of giving out candy!”
- Living Light Church Fall Festival – 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Food, candy, games, and inflatables – Address: 3420 North Airport Road, Jasper, Alabama

Trunk-or-Treat
- New Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Nauvoo presents “A Walk Through the Word” – “Our version of the traditional trunk-or-treat, with trunks, trucks, and trailers decorated as scenes throughout the Word of God. As you begin your journey, you will receive candy at the different scenes throughout the walk. Start with scenes of Creation, Noah’s Ark, and the Ten Commandments, (to name a few), and then make your way to the birth of Jesus, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and many other biblical scenes.” – 6:00 p.m.
- Cordova Annual Trunk-R-Treat – Indian Head Mill Park – 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Food trucks on site!
