For the fifth straight year, Cordova First Baptist Church in Cordova, Ala., will host the Lottie Moon Auction to raise money for local and international Baptist missions. The event will be held on Sunday, December 3, beginning at 4:45 p.m. in the church’s fellowship hall.
“All proceeds will go to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering that supports international missionaries all over the world,” said Randy Barnes, who serves as a Music/Worship Minister at CFB.
On the day of the event, the silent auction will begin at 4:45 p.m. and the live auction starts at 6 p.m. Finger foods will be available.
Items listed for this year’s auction include baked goods, gift baskets, handmade items, men’s items, women’s Items, electronics, gift cards, vacation auctions– including Guntersville Lake, Gatlinburg, Tenn., and trip to over 150 resorts nationwide—and much more.
The auction is held in honor of Charlotte Digges “Lottie” Moon (1840-1912), who spent a large part of her life serving for Baptist missions in China. Each year at Christmas time, churches all over the world take up the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering that helps support over 3,000 missionaries outside of North America.
“Come join us for a little food and fun, while raising money for a great cause,” said Barnes.
Cordova First Baptist Church is located at 3965 Massachusetts Avenue North, Cordova, Ala., 35550.
