Bank of Walker County Welcomes Cody G. Williams as Mortgage Lender

Tony Sparks, CEO of Bank of Walker County, recently announced: “On behalf of Bank of Walker County, I am proud to welcome Cody G. Williams to our team as Mortgage Lender.”

A Walker County native, Cody grew up right here in our community and is a graduate of Sumiton Christian High School. He went on to play football at Troy University and earned his degree in education from the University of West Alabama. His professional career has included experience in both education and the insurance industry, but Cody ultimately found his niche in mortgage lending.

For the past 10 years, he has helped individuals and families navigate one of the most important financial decisions they will make – financing a home.

Cody credits much of his approach to life and business to his mother, Laura, who taught him a philosophy he still follows today: Do what’s right, do what you can to help others, and everything else will work out.

Outside of work, Cody has what he describes as a love/hate relationship with yard work, enjoys an occasional round of golf, and, most importantly, is the proud father of Dora High School junior Allee Jane Key.

“Cody will be a great asset to the bank and an excellent resource for anyone in our community who is looking to finance a home. His experience and the relationships he has built with others in the industry are very valuable to us and to potential borrowers. We’re looking forward to great things,” Sparks said. “We are fortunate to have Cody join our team of banking professionals and look forward to what the future holds.” WL
