Bevill State Receives Community Service Grant from Representative Greg Barnes

JASPER, AL – Bevill State Community College has been awarded a Community Service Grant in the amount of $10,000 from Alabama House District 13 Representative Greg Barnes. Funds from this grant will be utilized to purchase equipment for the College’s police department and to strengthen safety and security measures across Bevill State’s campuses.

“Bevill State Community College is appreciative of the continued support from Representative Greg Barnes and the Alabama State Legislature. This Community Service Grant will allow us to invest in our campus police department and enhance the safety and security measures that protect our students, faculty, and staff. The well-being of everyone on our campuses is a priority, and we are grateful for Representative Barnes’ commitment to supporting that mission,” stated Dr. Joel Hagood, President of Bevill State Community College.

“The Alabama Community College System is one of our state’s greatest achievements. We are blessed to have Bevill State in District 13,” said Representative Barnes. “It is a privilege to be able to play a part in Bevill’s mission and help provide resources that benefit students in our community.”
