The Walker County Humane Society is inviting golfers to tee off for a good cause during its 10th Annual Humane Society Golf Tournament, benefiting the organization’s ongoing work to care for animals in Walker County.
This year’s tournament will be held at Musgrove Country Club, with teams able to play anytime between May 18 and May 31. The tournament will follow a four-person team scramble format.
The entry fee is $125 per player and includes two mulligans per player. A Big Dog sponsorship is available for $600 and includes entry for a four-person team as well as a hole sponsorship. Little Dog sponsorships are also available for $100 and include a hole sponsorship.
All proceeds from the tournament will support the Walker County Humane Society’s Spay and Neuter Program, along with the organization’s efforts to transport dogs and cats to out-of-state rescues.
In 2025, the Walker County Humane Society helped provide 925 spay and neuter procedures and assisted in rehoming 609 dogs and cats, as well as five horses, out of state. So far in 2026, the organization has authorized 252 spay and neuter surgeries and helped rehome 112 dogs and cats.
