The Alabama Free Will Baptist Children’s Home is hosting its 4th annual Donut Dash 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, April 5, 2025. The event will start with the 5K at 8 a.m., followed by the Fun Run at 8:45 a.m., at the children’s home campus at 86 Academy Drive in Eldridge.
This family-friendly event aims to raise funds for the Alabama FWB Children’s Home and welcomes participants of all ages. The 5K race includes six age divisions ranging from 20 and under to 60 and over. Medals will be awarded to the overall winner and the top three males and females in each age category. Plus, all participants can enjoy delicious donuts after the race!

“Our main goal for the Donut Dash is to raise awareness for what we do and get people on our campus who might not normally be there,” says Children’s Home Executive Director Mandy Mitchell. “Even if you’re not a runner, we welcome you to attend, have a donut with us, and learn more about our ministry!”
Registration is open online or can be completed in person on the day of the event. Fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. All proceeds support the Alabama Free Will Baptist Children’s Home, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a caring environment for children.

Participants should register by February 27 to guarantee a t-shirt in their preferred size.
