Confidence can open doors to life-changing opportunities.
Over time, Kaylee Nabors built confidence that allowed her to join the dance line at Dora High School. This decision has since become one of the defining experiences of her high school years.
“My friend did it in ninth grade, but I was too scared to try. But then in 10th grade, I had the confidence to do it, and I made it, and I’ve done it three years,” Kaylee shares.
For Kaylee, being on the dance line is about more than just performing.
“I love putting in the hard work for it, spending time with friends, and getting out on the field and performing in front of our home crowd for football games,” she explains.

She also credits her directors, Jeremy McFall and Aston King, for their dedication and leadership.
“They push us to be our best. They push us to get better after every game, to improve our technique, and to learn our choreography like we need to know it,” she says.
In addition to her dedication to dance, Kaylee has excelled academically, maintaining a 3.9 GPA and actively participating in organizations such as Upward Bound, Peer Helper, Beta Club, Youth Leadership, and Junior Ambassadors.
Looking ahead, Kaylee plans to pursue a career as a labor and delivery nurse.
Kaylee’s confidence and determination have allowed her to thrive both on and off the field, and her experiences in high school have prepared her to work toward her goals with resilience and purpose. WL
