Family plays a significant role in shaping a person’s life.
Dora High School point guard Collin Abrom’s siblings were a major influence in his decision to pursue sports. Their encouragement and support have been key factors in his athletic success.
Collin’s transition from Jasper to Dora in the seventh grade was pivotal. This move introduced him to a new environment and allowed him to take on the role of the Bulldogs’ point guard.
“There’s a lot of responsibility that comes with being a point guard, but I love it,” he shares.

A significant source of inspiration for Collin has been his coach, Michael Bridges.
“Coach B is a good coach. He always motivates us, trying to push us to be better than we were yesterday. He teaches us not to take stuff for granted and always cherish the moments,” Collin shares.
After graduation, Collin plans to carry his sense of duty into a new chapter of his life by joining the United States Army. Following in his father’s footsteps, he aims to serve his country with honor.
The support of his family and the lessons learned through sports have been invaluable in shaping Collin’s athletic career and preparing him for a future filled with purpose and potential. WL
