Carbon Hill High School basketball has long been a cornerstone of the town’s identity, inspiring generations of the community’s young athletes to dream of one day playing for the Bulldogs.
Jase Prince was no exception.
Jase began his basketball journey at Carbon Hill as a point guard in junior high. However, a switch to shooting guard revealed his true potential, and he hasn’t looked back since.
Central to Jase’s growth on the court has been his coach, Garrett Kirkland, whom Jase deeply respects.
“He’s a good coach who makes the right calls. And, after we beat Fayette last year, he came in with some water bottles and sprayed them everywhere in celebration!” Jase says with a smile.
Jase’s achievements extend beyond the basketball court. Academically, he boasts a 3.6 GPA, is actively involved in the National Honor Society, and serves as treasurer of the Beta Club.
Looking ahead, Jase plans to attend college and build on the discipline and determination he has honed as an athlete and student.
From achieving his goal of playing for Carbon Hill to excelling in academics and leadership, Jase Prince is well-prepared for success in the next chapter of his life. WL
