The fall season is here, bringing a host of exciting events for families, friends, and even our furry companions!

Walker County has something for everyone, from festivals and trunk-or-treats to costume parades and spooky trails. Here’s a rundown of the upcoming events, organized by date, so you can mark your calendars and enjoy the season to the fullest!

Saturday, October 19

  • Days Gap Fest

Location: Town of Oakman

Time: 9 AM – 1 PM

Activities: Enjoy live music, arts & crafts, food trucks, a kids’ zone, and a car and bike show.

  • Boo-Tanical Movie Night

Location: Reclamation Gardens, 24 Bank Street, Parrish, AL 35580

Time: 6 PM – 8 PM

Details: Join Reclamation Gardens for a cozy outdoor showing of Hocus Pocus! Bring your chairs or blankets, enjoy food, candy, and snacks, and feel free to wear a costume. All children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.


Saturday, October 26

  • Hilloween

Location: Downtown Carbon Hill

Time: 5 PM

Activities: This free Halloween celebration includes a costume parade, food, drinks, candy, games, and a trunk-or-treat. Bring the family for a fun night in Carbon Hill!

  • Fall Festival & Spooky Trails

Location: Refining Fire Ranch | 830 S Skyline Dr, Jasper, AL 35501

Fall Festival: 2 PM – 4 PM ($10 per person)

Spooky Trails: 5 PM – 8 PM

Details: Refining Fire Ranch is hosting an exciting day of family fun, with games, a horse ride, and spooky trails that get scarier as the evening continues. For $20, get an all-day ticket that includes unlimited games and one walk through the trails. Proceeds will benefit Discovery Stables at Refining Fire Ranch. Early in the evening, trails are less scary for younger children.


Sunday, October 27

  • Trunk-or-Treat

Location: Hollow Hills Property | 4696 Coon Creek Rd, Empire, AL 35063

Time: 4 PM – 6 PM

Details: Hosted by Empire Church of God, this Trunk-or-Treat event offers a family-friendly Halloween experience with candy and costumes for all ages.

  • Nauvoo Church of God Fall Festival

Location: 2974 Nauvoo Rd, Nauvoo, AL 35578

Time: 4 PM – 7 PM

Activities: Enjoy carnival rides, a bouncy house, a dunking booth, a train ride, a trunk-or-treat, and food and vendors. This free-admission event also includes a silent auction and cake auction.

  • Trunk-or-Treat at Quinton Baptist Church

Location: 7753 Quinton Rd, Quinton, AL 35130

Time: 5 PM – 8 PM

Details: Quinton Baptist Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat event with free hotdogs, food, fun, and fellowship for the whole family.

  • RUFF Halloween Pawty

Location: Tallulah Brewing Company | 1804 4th Ave S, Jasper, AL 35501

Time: 2 PM – 4 PM

Details: This pet-friendly event features a costume contest for your four-legged friends ($10 entry), raffles, appetizers, and art for sale. There’s a $10 door entry fee, so bring your pups in their best costumes and enjoy an afternoon of Halloween fun with fellow pet lovers.

  • Fall Fest

Location: Downtown Jasper

Time: 3 PM – 6 PM

Details: This annual event, coordinated by local churches and civic organizations, began in 2015 and has become a beloved community tradition. Fall Fest brings families and friends together with various activities, games, and treats to celebrate the season.


Thursday, October 31

  • Halloween Block Party

Location: Downtown Oakman

Time: 5 PM – 8 PM

Details: The Town of Oakman is hosting a Halloween Block Party with music, food, games, and a Trunk or Treat. Contact Town Hall at 205-622-3232 to register for Trunk or Treat.

  • Trunk-or-Treat at Crossway Baptist Church

Location: 1160 Aldridge Road, Parrish, AL 35580

Time: 5 PM – 7 PM

Details: Crossway Baptist Church invites families for an evening of Trunk-or-Treat, a chili dinner, candy, and plenty of fun for all ages.
