Anna Beth Alvis Launches Clothesline Boutique

Anna Beth Alvis has officially launched Clothesline Boutique in Curry, Alabama.

After graduating from The Essential Church School of Birmingham in May 2024, Anna Beth pursued a career in cosmetology. However, she realized it wasn’t her true calling a few months into the program. She took a semester off to reflect on her future and thought back to her high school experience working in retail and fashion.

“In high school, I worked in retail but had to quit when I started cosmetology school. I truly enjoy the retail and fashion world, so I sought out that line of work. I saw Monogram Fever Boutique in Curry was hiring and applied,” Anna Beth says. “My mother, Linda Alvis, owns and works at Smith Lake Family Care in Curry, just down the road from the boutique. My family spends a lot of time at the lake and in the Curry area, so it only made sense to work here, too.”

Not long after starting at Monogram Fever, Anna Beth learned the boutique was for sale, which sparked her entrepreneurial spirit.

She began envisioning what it would be like to own a boutique and continue working in the industry she loves. Encouraged by her mother, Linda, and grandmother, Thea, she decided to take the leap.

Anna Beth renamed the store Clothesline Boutique in honor of her great-grandmother, who owned a women’s clothing store called The Clothesline in Sumiton during the 1980s.

Now, her days are filled with the excitement of running the business and building her vision for the boutique.

Clothesline Boutique offers women’s clothing and accessories, baby clothing and accessories, gifts, and personalized embroidered, vinyl, screen-printed, or monogrammed items.
