Walker County men are invited to join speaker David Dusek to celebrate faith and brotherhood
On September 21, 2024, Hope House Church in Jasper, Ala., will hold the Rough Cut Men’s Dinner, an event aiming to build up the “unbreakable bonds of battle-ready brotherhood.”
Men from across Walker County and beyond are invited to the free event with the purpose of engaging in Biblical discussions and enjoying complimentary catering by Jasper’s own Black Rock Bistro.
The Rough Cut Men’s Dinner event page on Facebook says the night will feature “a strategic combination of Hollywood action movie, Biblical truth, and the high energy and transparency of speaker David Dusek.”
Dusek is the founder of Rough Cut Men Ministries, an effort that features an interactive men’s experience with the goal of getting men to be transparent with one another and with Jesus.
“It’s not denominationally-themed whatsoever,” Thomas Martin, lead pastor of Hope House Church, says of the event. “We want all of Jasper’s men to feel welcome and to come together to build a greater sense of community.”
Because this is a free event, Martin hopes for a nice turnout. “We want this to be an iron-sharpening-iron moment,” he says. “We’re doing it to encourage each other to be authentic, godly men and to build relationships with one another.”
Rough Cut Men and Hope House Church asks that virtual tickets be claimed for planning and catering purposes. Those tickets can be easily reserved on the Facebook event page.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hope House Church, located at 1602 10th Avenue in Jasper. For more information, please call Thomas Martin at (205) 275-8722. WL
