If you’re looking for a leader both in the classroom and on the field, Avril Cummings is an exemplary choice.

As a dedicated member of the award-winning Dora High School cheerleading squad, coached by Katie Carden and Catherine Willingham, Avril shines in every routine. In addition to cheerleading, she is an active participant in the WaterWatch team, sponsored by Martha Salomaa, showcasing her commitment to environmental stewardship.

Avril currently serves as a dual enrollment ambassador, and she plays a pivotal role in guiding her peers through their academic journeys. With several college credits already completed, she acts as a liaison between the Dora High School counselor and Bevill State Community College, ensuring that her classmates are well-informed and supported.

Her involvement extends to being a key member of both the Beta Club and FCCLA, organizations that are integral to the Dora High School community.

The daughter of Jared and Kayla Cummings, Avril looks forward to graduating in May 2025 and plans to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy. WL
