The Walker Leader recently spoke to Maddox Land Services owner Chris Maddox. Chris established his business in 2007, and since then, his company has continued to grow.

What made you decide to go into this type of business? My passion for the outdoors and love of nature is what drove me into pursuing a career in landscape work. I love working with customers to help them create an outdoor space that they can enjoy. The satisfaction of enhancing a property through landscaping has always been fun to me and I enjoy the challenge of trying to complete something special for my customers.
What services does your company offer? We offer 3 main services: 1. Landscape Installation. 2. Vegetation management. 3. Excavation.
What is your business philosophy and what are some distinguishing qualities of your business? Our business philosophy is built on a foundation of integrity and quality first. We strive to deliver a quality product in a consistent manner, and we aim to please our customers daily. I think a distinguishing quality of our business is our passion and commitment to what we do. I started my pursuit of being a quality landscape contractor by earning a B.S. degree in Horticulture from Auburn University. Since then, we have obtained other areas of continuing education and obtaining the licenses and credentials needed for our industry.
Our team is always looking to grow in our craft, and we take our training seriously. We work hard to provide the highest quality job we can, but we also work towards not being complacent about the success we have had. We are blessed to have amazing customers, many who have become close friends, and my drive is to try and continue to provide a quality service that they can trust and depend on.
