Meet Brittan Sandlin, a dynamic senior at Oakman High School who excels in both athletics and academics. A versatile athlete, Brittan participates in cross country under Coach Jenny Martin and archery with Coach Grant Nichols.

She finds both sports therapeutic, stating, “They both are stress relievers for me. I can run cross country and be completely calm by the end of the run, and I can shoot archery and feel amazing afterward, too.”

Brittan’s academic pursuits are just as impressive. She maintains a 3.9 GPA while delving into her favorite subjects, English and Biology. Her leadership skills are evident as she holds positions across several organizations: president of the Future Business Leaders of America, treasurer of Beta Club, and active member in various other groups including the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America, EHK (a community service club), Lucky 13 Club, Peer Helpers, Science Club, Talent Search, National Honor Society, and the Youth Leadership Development Program.

As graduation approaches, Brittan is planning her future with ambition. She intends to enroll at Bevill State Community College to participate in a joint nursing program with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, aiming to become a trauma nurse.

Brittan is the daughter of Chris and Wendy Sandlin and Jenny and Johnathan Martin.

Congratulations, Brittan, on your athletic and academic accomplishments. We wish you the best in your future endeavors! WL
