The City of Sumiton will be holding its annual Frog Festival on Saturday, October 7 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.! Beginning on State Street, there will be over 200 booths and food vendors; parking will be available at Bevill State.
This year’s festival will include fun activities for all ages, including:
- Children’s Area
- Pony Rides
- Petting Zoo
- Motorcycle Display
- Mechanical Bull Ride
- Rock Climbing
- Arts and Crafts
- Food Vendors – everything from candied apples to lemonade to barbecue to hotdogs!
- Booths for woodworking, holiday decorations, floral arrangements, jewelry and boutique items, hair and beauty, non-profits, religion, education, airbrush tattoos, art, 3D printing, cowboy hats and accessories, and knives.
- Prizes and Giveaways
- Music and Dance Entertainment (Rock Candy Band, Cooter Brown Band, Streetkar, Show Stoppers Dance)
- Princess Parade (2 p.m.) – Any young girl who wants to dress as a princess can participate and walk through the festival!
Mayor Petey Ellis says, “We have more vendors this year than we did last year, and we’re hoping to give the community something to come out and enjoy. All we need is good weather, and we’re going to have a fantastic day!” WL
