"Worship has always been a big part of my life." - Emma Potts

Meet Emma Potts, a senior at Sumiton Christian High School and the daughter of Jody and Emily Potts.

A tri-sport athlete, Emma has been making an impact as a middle blocker in volleyball for coach Kara Cashatt, a center in basketball for coach Andy Rice, and a centerfielder in softball for coach Jessica Aderholt.

Emma has also proven herself to be a remarkable student, upholding a 3.95 GPA and serving as a Chapel Student Board Leader and Chapel Worship Team Leader.

When she’s not busy with sports commitments, you might find Emma studying Sociology, her favorite subject. She is also a proud member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, the Student Government Association, Sumiton Christian Ambassadors, Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Emma not only showcases her talent in the classroom and the sports arena, but also in worship.

“I’ve been singing at church since I was 10. I’m in our adult choir at church, and I sing on Wednesday nights at our youth group. Worship has always been a big part of my life.”

As she awaits her graduation in May 2024, Emma plans attend Lee University to major in Business and minor in Ministry.
