On Friday, September 15, the Walker County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) will host its Third Annual Fore the Children Golf Tournament and Fundraiser. Tee time will be at 8 a.m. at Horse Creek Golf Course in Dora.

This is WCCAC’s primary fundraiser each year. The center has been servicing Walker County for ten years; this fundraiser, alongside generous donations and grants, allows the WCCAC to provide forensic interviews and therapy to children and families at no cost.

Registration information for the tournament can be found below.

“We appreciate the sponsors and golfers involved in this tournament and those who have contributed to our center throughout the years. As national grants have continued to face cutbacks, we have been fortunate to have such strong support within our community. We could not continue to serve children who have survived abuse without our community partners,” said WCCAC Executive Director Johnny Sudberry.

The tournament will also feature door prizes from various local businesses. Event sponsors include Regional Paramedical Services/Regional Air-Medical Services, Senator Greg Reed, Honda of Jasper, Representative Matt Woods and Jasper Auto Sales, Dr. Jill Bivona, Pampered Pets, Urgent Care Northwest, and Synovus Bank.
