Wellsprings of Jasper is excited to announce the addition of Shelby Rumph, a licensed massage therapist, to their team. At only 23 years old, Shelby has already discovered her passion for helping others through the power of massage therapy.
Originally from Brownstown, Indiana, Shelby moved to Jasper in 2019. She enrolled in Wallace State Community College’s Dental Hygiene program, but soon realized that it wasn’t the right path for her. Determined to find a more hands-on way to help others, Shelby discovered massage therapy.
“I saw massage therapy as a literal way to put my hands to work in the service of others,” she says.
She began her studies at Birmingham School of Massage in September 2022 and graduated from the program in February of this year. Through a homework assignment for school, Shelby discovered Wellsprings of Jasper.
“The assignment was to receive a Swedish massage from a place we had never visited. My boyfriend’s mom knew Karen here at Wellsprings and highly recommended I give it a try,” Shelby explains. “I walked in and immediately felt right at home. I love that it is a faith-based and faith-centered business, and I am excited to help others while working here.”
Karen Guthrie Woodruff, the owner of Wellsprings of Jasper, is thrilled to have Shelby join her team.
“Shelby is an answered prayer. Her passion for helping others and her natural talent for massage therapy make her a perfect fit for Wellsprings of Jasper. She is eager to use her skills to provide relief to clients and promote their overall health and wellness,” Woodruff says. WL
Shelby’s first day at Wellsprings is Monday, May 15. You may book an appointment with her by visiting massagebook.com/Jasper~Massage~WellspringsofJasper
