Community members came together in downtown Jasper on Wednesday, April 24, for a spirited “Parade of Champions” to celebrate the remarkable achievements of Jasper High School’s finest.

The festive event honored the girls’ basketball team, varsity cheerleaders, individual varsity wrestlers, and the Viking marching band, each of whom clinched an AHSAA Class 5A state championship this school year.

“We’re extremely proud of these students and their coaches and directors. It’s not every day you get to recognize four championship teams at a time,” said Dr. Ann Jackson, Superintendent of Jasper City Schools. “It’s a remarkable achievement and a testament to these groups and their hard work and dedication, and we’re appreciative that the City of Jasper and Jasper Main Street helped us to showcase that dedication and teamwork.” WL
