Meet Marianna Rigsby, a Jasper High School sophomore whose talents extend beyond the sports arena. A two-sport athlete, Marianna has been making a significant impact as a point guard and shooting guard in basketball for coach Blake Laney and a mid-field player and goalie in soccer for coach Brandon Hensley.

When asked about her team’s recent AHSAA 5A Basketball State Championship win, Marianna spoke about how it feels to be a state champion: “It feels great! All of our hard work and summers leading to us winning the state championship feels amazing!”

Marianna has also proven herself to be a remarkable student, upholding a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is a proud member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and the Student Council.
