Springtime has Walker County abuzz with festivals, events, and good times! Enjoy food and fun at Curry Day, a book signing at Paper Places, and the BSCC Music Department’s Annual Spring Concert. There is plenty of activity blooming this week in Walker County! 

Saturday, April 13

  • 2nd Annual Curry Day

When: 9 AM

Where: Curry High School | 155 Yellow Jacket Drive, Jasper, AL 35503

Curry Fire & Rescue is hosting the 2nd Annual Curry Day, featuring fun for the whole family! Enjoy a car show, motorcycle ride, craft and food vendors, and more! Registration for the motorcycle ride begins at 9:30 AM, with KSU following at 10:30. 

  • The Crown Effect Book Signing with Kathy Vinston

When: 11 AM – 1 PM

Where: Paper Places Bookshop | 229 19th Street West, Jasper, AL 35501

Don’t miss the chance to grab a signed copy of The Crown Effect by local author Kathy Vinston! Also, enjoy themed treats from Three Boys Bakery and a pop-up by Grit and Grace Boutique! 

Monday, April 15

  • Bevill State Music Department Annual Spring Concert

When: 6 PM

Where: Thornton Music Chapel, BSCC Jasper Campus | 1411 Indiana Avenue, Jasper, AL 35501

This concert is free and open to the public. Enjoy selections performed by the talented students of BSCC’s Music Department! 

Tuesday, April 16

  • Garfield’s Paint Night for Grown-ups

When: 6 PM

Where: Garfield’s Restaurant & Pub | 300 Highway 78 East Suite 3, Jasper, AL 35501

Ages 14 & up are invited to join Ginny of Art & Soul for a nighttime floral-themed paint night! The cost to attend is $30 per person; secure your spot at this link
