Meet Ethan O’Rear, a Curry High School senior who has been making waves as a cornerback and wide receiver in football for coach Jace Cordell.

After sustaining a career-ending injury during his senior season, Ethan said, “It was tough at first, and I was even thinking about continuing to play, but I thought about the future and how walking was more important than playing the game.”

Ethan has also proven himself to be a remarkable student. He has a 3.2 GPA and loves to study history.

As he awaits his graduation in May 2024, Ethan plans to enter the welding industry.

Ethan is the son of Gary O’Rear.
