Operation Aviation Foundation (OAF) has announced that applications are now open for its second annual Aviation Career Education (ACE) Camp, scheduled for July 17-19, 2024. The camp is open to STEM enthusiasts aged 12-17 and will take place at the Sanders Flight Training Center in Jasper.

ACE Camp offers a practical and educational aviation experience, including simulator use, discovery flights, and sessions with industry guest speakers. OAF aims to introduce aviation careers to a broader demographic, focusing on underrepresented and underserved communities.

Prospective campers must complete an application form, secure a letter of recommendation from a community leader, and write a 200-word essay. The application deadline and additional details can be found on the OAF Facebook page.

The inaugural ACE Camp, held last summer, provided attendees with both theoretical and practical insights into aviation. Building on last year’s success, the upcoming camp will again combine learning with hands-on experience to ignite young people’s passion for aviation. WL
