Meet Jon Luke Walker, a senior student athlete at Jasper High School. While he dominates the basketball court as a forward under the guidance of Coach Heath Burns, his prowess extends far beyond the hardwood.
When he’s not driving towards the basket, he’s diving into his studies, maintaining a 3.7 GPA, and participating in extracurricular organizations like the National Honor Society, Spanish Club, and Future Business Leaders of America.
Jon Luke is greatly influenced by Coach Burns, not only for his coaching capabilities but also for his commitment to shaping the young men of the Viking Basketball team. “I love that he cares so much for us because he doesn’t just want us to become better players, but he pushes us to become better men,” says Jon Luke.
As he looks ahead to his graduation in May 2024, Jon Luke plans to pursue an electrical work apprenticeship.
Jon Luke is the son of Rodney and Brandi Walker.
