The second annual Jasper Community Prayer Breakfast took place on Tuesday, January 9, at the Jasper Civic Center. A considerable number of community members attended, coming together for a time of fellowship and prayer.
The prayer session covered seven key areas: thanksgiving and celebration, confession and repentance, city and community leadership, first responders and medical personnel, educators and school systems, extracurricular activities, and local churches.

The event featured local pastors, including Adam Brewer (Glory Fellowship Baptist Church), George Barrera (The Trace Church), Alan Beasley (Jasper’s First Methodist Church), Charles Kidd (6th Avenue Baptist Church), David Byrd (Northside Baptist Church), and Andy Frazier (Jasper’s First Baptist Church).
“All throughout God’s Word, He calls us to pray. Prayer is a picture of dependence upon God, a picture of humility, understanding that we can not do what He can do, understanding that we are not in charge, that we need His provision and his blessing,” said Brewer. “I am thankful for the local churches that come in different shapes and sizes, and the ways we get to partner together. I believe God is bringing us together to serve, this morning is representative of that.” WL
