Bankhead House & Heritage Center to Hold Reception for the Launch of Walker County Bicentennial Exhibit

The Bankhead House & Heritage Center invites you to an Exhibit Opening Reception on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. The reception will officially launch the house’s newest exhibit in honor of Walker County’s Bicentennial, showcasing the community’s rich history throughout the decades.

Executive Director Mimi Hudson says, “We are looking forward to celebrating 200 years of Walker County history throughout the next few months. We hope you will visit our next exhibit to see the vast history from across the county that made it what it is today. From textiles to war artifacts, we have a variety of items on display.”

The exhibit will run from January 16th – July 26th, 2024. The reception and exhibit are free to attend and open to the public. Join the Bankhead House & Heritage Center for this exciting celebration of Walker County’s history, success, and sense of community. WL
