Senator Greg Reed Announces Funding Award to HARTT in Walker County

MONTGOMERY, ALA. – State Senator Greg Reed (R-Jasper), President Pro Tempore of the Alabama Senate, today announces the awarding $25,000 in supplemental funding to HARTT in Jasper, Alabama.  

HARTT is a local nonprofit organization that specializes in trauma-informed care, therapy, and family support for children in need. 

“HARTT helps children and families in need by ensuring that children who suffer from trauma will have resources for long-term health and success,” said Senator Reed. “Children are our future, and every child deserves the opportunity to feel loved and supported. The work the people at HARTT do is inspiring and admirable.”

“We are so thankful to Senator Reed for his support and confidence in HARTT and our mission,” said Tina Aaron, Program Director at HARTT. “Gratitude knows no bounds when champions like Senator Reed step forward and lights the path to a brighter future for all we serve. Together, we’ll continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our children and families in Walker County.”

HARTT aims to help young people heal and respond through services like the Juvenile Justice support, individual and family counseling, foster child and family support, family visitations, school-based services, and trauma-informed training and support. HARTT uses individualized service plans to meet the needs of each child that uses their services in Walker County with team members certified in Trauma and Resilience (CTPE).
