Meet Maddie Hogland, a Sumiton Christian High School junior whose talents extend beyond the sports arena. A two-sport athlete, Maddie has been making an impact as an outside hitter in volleyball for coach Kara Cashatt and a post player in basketball for coach Andy Rice.
Maddie mentioned how faith plays into her athletics, saying, “It helps how I present myself and my attitude that I play. It helps me take control of my emotions.”
Maddie has also proven herself to be a remarkable student, with an excellent 3.8 GPA.
As she awaits her graduation in May 2025, Maddie plans to attend college and pursue a degree in architecture design.
Maddie is the daughter of Eric and Kris Hogland.
