Attend a paint party, a performance, or a trivia night, and enjoy a Christmas celebration with horses and Santa himself! From arts and crafts to Christmas shopping to a night out, here are some events to look out for this week in Walker County!

Tuesday, December 12

·         Celebrate Christmas with the Jasper Choral Department

When: 6 PM

Where: Pam Brown Theater, Jasper High School | 1501 Viking Drive, Jasper, AL 35501

Join Jasper High and Junior High for special Christmas music performances by the JJHS Concert Choir, JJHS Signature Sound, and JHS Phoenix. Admission is free!

·         Children’s Christmas Paint Party by Art & Soul Studio

When: 6 PM

Where: Garfield’s Restaurant & Pub | 300 Hwy 78 East Suite 3, Jasper, AL 35501

Join Art & Soul Studio for a Children’s Christmas Paint Party at Garfield’s! The cost to participate is $15 per child, and participating children 12 & under eat for 99 cents! Get tickets at this link!

·         Trivia Night

When: 6 PM

Where: Gamer’s Guild | 577 Highway 78 West, Jasper, AL 35501

Join the Gamer’s Guild for a trivia night on General Nerdiness! Signup is at 6 PM, with round 1 beginning around 6:30. Up to three people can team up, and there is a $5 entry fee per team. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place will be given!

·         Special Needs Dance with Santa

When: 6-8 PM

Where: Jasper Elks Lodge | 2571 Arkadelphia Road, Jasper, AL 35504

Come enjoy a dance party for special needs children with Santa! Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be provided, and the cost to attend is free!

·         2023 East Walker Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade

When: 6 PM

Where: Parade Begins at Sumiton Square Behind Hardee’s | 2176 US-78 West, Sumiton AL 35148

Friday, December 15

·         Ladies Night at Refining Fire Ranch

When: 5-8 PM

Where: Refining Fire Ranch

Join Refining Fire Ranch for a Ladies Night of “Cowgirls Helping Cowgirls.” The ranch seeks to, “create a welcoming, supportive, enjoyable, and knowledgeable network of individuals within the equine care industry and agriculture community that promotes accessibility and support to all.” The itinerary will include time for a meet & greet and refreshments, grooming and tacking mounts, open arena and round pin work, and unmounted activities and mingling time for those uninterested in riding. Saturday, December 16

·         Tour Hollis Museum

When: 10 AM – 12 Noon | 1:30 – 4 PM

Where: Hollis Museum | 81 Sharon Boulevard, Sumiton, AL 35148

Tour the Hollis Museum to unlock your nostalgia this holiday season! Owner Tim Hollis displays memorabilia from the past such as old toys, pop-culture relics, Alabama items, vintage holiday displays, and keepsakes from his childhood. The cost to attend is $5 per person, and all proceeds will go to various animal rescues!

·         Jingle & Mingle on Main Street

When: Main Street, Sumiton, AL

Where: 11 AM – 2 PM

Shop Main Street in Sumiton this Saturday and check out exclusive giveaways and refreshments at Tin Top, a pop-up by Permanent Jewelry by Whitney, and shop at Amelia’s Bows and Booked on Main!

·         Christmas with Horses by Elevated Equine Riding Academy

When: 5 PM

Where: Windgate Farms | 1428 Bush Drive, Jasper, AL 35504

Join Elevated Equine Riding Academy for Christmas with Horses! Come in your Christmas pajamas to have cookies with Santa, see the horses, and watch a classic Christmas film! This will be a 3-hour event, and the cost to attend is $5 per child. Sign up at this link!

Monday, December 18

·         Celebration Snowman at the Pie Factory

When: 6 PM

Where: The Pie Factory | 1807 6th Avenue South, Jasper, AL 35501

Join The Pie Factory and Art & Soul Studio for a Celebration Snowman paint party! This party is geared more towards teens and adults, and the cost to attend is $30 per person. Purchase tickets at this link!
