On Wednesday, October 25, The Bridge Educational Philanthropy presented community partners with treat bags for upcoming Halloween events.
The treat bags were purchased by Oakman Junior City Council members, and presented by Junior City Council Member, Brittan Sandlin.
Recipients included Town of Oakman Mayor Cory Franks, who will give out the treat bags at the Town of Oakman’s Halloween Block Party on October 31, as well as Kita Casey-Kindred and Cheryl Hall, Jasper residents who are coordinating the District 5 Community’s 2nd annual Trunk-or-Treat taking place at Howell Park (Coke Oven) on October 31. The mission of the Bridge Educational Philanthropy is to identify, create, develop, and refine resources while making those resources readily accessible to the community, a goal achieved through ongoing research and educational services.
The Bridge Educational Philanthropy partners with other nonprofit organizations and foundations to ensure students and families reach their academic, health, emotional, and socioeconomic goals.
Additionally, the organization provides access to tutoring, test prep, and wraparound services such as mentoring, resume development, college application, and FAFSA assistance at low or no cost to clients.
