JASPER, ALA. — Jasper Main Street, in partnership with the City of Jasper, is excited to reintroduce Trolley on Main (TOM), a community initiative designed to showcase the history, culture and attractions of Downtown Jasper.
Since its launch, TOM has already hosted children from the Sail Summer Camp Program on a historic tour exploring the stories, architecture and heritage of Jasper’s downtown district, as well as local seniors from Northside Baptist Church on a tour of the new Sculpture Trail highlighting important historical figures and industries that were significant in Jasper’s development as a city. Additional tours are already scheduled for the summer.
“With our guided tours, participants can learn more about Jasper’s amazing history and historic landmarks,” said Mike Putman, executive director of Jasper Main Street. “TOM is another way we can connect people with our downtown and highlight the attractions that make Jasper a great place to live and visit.”
Tours are available by reservation and require at least two weeks’ notice for scheduling. The trolley is not available for private event rentals but is dedicated to supporting community-focused tours and educational experiences.
TOM reflects Jasper Main Street’s ongoing commitment to downtown revitalization, community engagement and promoting local attractions through accessible and memorable experiences.
For more information or to schedule a tour, come by the Jasper Welcome Center & Museum at 311 West 18th Street or contact Renae Wilson at renae@jaspermainstreet.com.
