Jasper Public Library will welcome author Janis G. McCarver for an author talk and book signing on Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Library’s Jasper Rotary Club Community Room.
McCarver will discuss her children’s book, The Magical Adventures of Twinkles and Anna Lynn, which she says grew out of the fun stories she has shared with children in her own family for generations. The event will give families the opportunity to hear more about the inspiration behind the book, meet the author, and learn how storytelling can spark imagination across generations.
Families are also encouraged to check out the lineup for Jasper Public Library’s Children’s and Tween Summer Reading Programs. Registration is now open and is required to attend all programs. To complete the program, each child must attend three out of five programs and read 10 library books.
To register, each child must have their own library card and be present in person with their legal guardian at the time of sign-up.
Jasper Public Library, a branch of the Carl Elliott Regional Library, is located at 98 18th Street East in Jasper.
