The City of Jasper, in partnership with Jasper Main Street, the Walker County Arts Alliance, and the Chamber of Commerce of Walker County, invites the community to join us for a special America 250 celebration on Thursday, June 11, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM outside the Jasper Civic Center.
This family-friendly event will celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary by honoring the values that unite us, including community, service, and shared pride in the place we call home, while creating a lasting tribute to Jasper and the America 250 celebration through public art and meaningful experiences.
Ongoing Activities (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Community Mural Project: Paint a tile that will become part of a patriotic Unity Tree mural, to be permanently installed on the side of the Glover Drugs building
- This project is partially funded by a grant from America250AL
- Enjoy patriotic performances following the program
- Spend time downtown and support local restaurants and businesses
