The Walker County Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will host its 6th Annual Golf Scramble on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Musgrove Country Club. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., with tee-off scheduled for 12:00 p.m.

The four-person scramble will include a box lunch before play begins, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the day. Participants and sponsors can choose from the following participation levels:

  • FCA Teammate (Single Player): $125 (green fees, cart, and lunch)
  • FCA Home Team: $500 (4 players, carts, and lunches)
  • FCA Home Team Plus: $600 (4 players, carts, lunches, and hole sponsorship)
  • Hole Sponsorship: $100
  • Sponsor a Coach or Pastor: $125

The event plays a vital role in supporting FCA’s mission in Walker County. Funds raised go toward staffing, leadership development, resources, and scholarships for students to attend leadership and sports camps.

Jack Baker, State Director of Talent Advancement for FCA, emphasizes the importance of this year’s tournament. “We’re just getting back on our feet in Walker County, and we are hiring a staff member specifically for Walker County,” Baker says. “I’m looking forward to people getting fired up about FCA in the local schools and seeing the impact of having someone dedicated to the work.”

Baker says that proceeds will also help provide Bibles, discipleship guides, and camp scholarships for local students. A lot of kids want to attend but can’t afford the full fee, or anything at all. These funds help supplement camp attendance,” Baker explains.

With the large number of schools in the Walker County area, FCA leaders see a strong need to expand their presence. The golf scramble is one way the community can directly contribute to that effort while enjoying a day on the course. WL
