The Jasper Public Library will host Dr. Alan Brown’s presentation of School Spirits: Ghost Stories from Alabama’s College Campuses on Thursday, October 9, at 6:00 p.m.

Known for his work collecting and sharing Southern folklore, Dr. Brown will share chilling tales from campuses across the state, including a local favorite – the haunting of Walker College’s Davis Hall by the school’s founder, Dr. Carl Jesse.

The program is part of the library’s adult programming series and promises an evening of local history, suspense, and storytelling. Admission is free, and no registration is required.

The Carl Elliott Regional Library – Jasper Public Library is located at 98 18th Street East, Jasper, AL 35501.
