Featured Dish: Mochi Ice Cream at Sakura

Sakura Asian Cuisine in Jasper is well known for its flavorful hibachi dinners and fresh sushi rolls. But when it’s time for something sweet, their Mochi Ice Cream is a must-try.

Mochi (pronounced MOH-chee) is a traditional Japanese dessert made from sweet rice flour that’s pounded into a stretchy, chewy dough. It’s then wrapped around a scoop of ice cream to create a bite-sized treat that’s soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet.

At Sakura, you’ll find five mochi flavors: strawberry, mango, green tea, vanilla, and red bean. Each order comes with two pieces, making it easy to sample something new or double up on your favorite.

Enjoy some delicious mochi following your meal, or stop by just for dessert to cool off from the Alabama summer heat! WL

Sakura is located at 300 Highway 78 West, Jasper, AL 35501
