At The Lake Spa and Wellness isn’t your typical spa, and that’s entirely by design.
Located next to Smith Lake Family Care, At The Lake was launched to complement the medical practice, adding a wellness component and a place to indulge in self-care. Owners and nurse practitioners Autumn Mummey and Linda Alvis are the minds behind both practices. Their shared goal is to help people feel their best, whether the issue is medical or cosmetic.
“We’ve incorporated hormone replacement therapy, IV hydration, and weight loss services, as well as a full-service spa to help our clients reach their goals,” Mummey says.

Their functional approach to care means looking beyond symptoms to address root causes. Conditions like fatigue, weight gain, or brain fog may be tied to hydration levels, hormonal imbalances, or other underlying factors. Mummey and Alvis are seeing real results through lab testing and detailed consultations.
“It’s very exciting to watch people meet their goals,” Alvis says.
At The Lake offers a growing list of esthetic and therapeutic services. Their full-service spa menu includes full-body red light therapy, CryoSkin treatments for fat reduction and skin tightening, E-slim for muscle toning, and massage therapy. An on-staff esthetician provides facials, dermaplaning, chemical peels, waxing, eyebrow shaping and lamination, eyelash lift and tint, and more.
They’ve also added Motus AZ+ laser treatments, including painless permanent hair removal, laser facials, pigmentation correction, and other advanced services.

IV hydration services have been fully relocated from the clinic to the spa, allowing wellness clients to avoid shared waiting rooms with sick patients. The environment is clean, calm, and welcoming, featuring medical-grade skincare lines like SkinBetter, PCA Skin, and Elta MD, along with locally made products available for retail.

“We see people from all walks of life and visitors of the lake,” Alvis says. “Bringing over some of our clinic staff has helped with the transition because patients already know and have a wonderful rapport with them.”
The synergy between Smith Lake Family Care and At The Lake is intentional. The clinic focuses on primary and urgent care, while the spa extends that care into overall well-being and beauty.
“The two practices work really well together,” Mummey says. “In the clinic, we’re always listening to our patients’ concerns, and now we have a way to address what we’re hearing in a more comprehensive way, focusing on health and beauty together.”
At The Lake Spa and Wellness continues to grow, with plans to introduce new treatments that will be the first of their kind in the area.
Whether it’s managing hormones, supporting weight loss, or simply helping someone feel more confident in their skin, Mummey and Alvis are committed to helping their community look and feel their best. WL
