Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center (NWAMHC) has announced the return of its annual golf scramble, set for Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Musgrove Country Club in Jasper.
First held in 1982, the tournament serves as the organization’s primary annual fundraiser.
“Our annual golf tournament plays a vital role in helping us meet the behavioral health needs of the communities we serve,” says April Knight, Executive Director of Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center. “It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we’re hopeful for strong support from those who believe in the importance of accessible mental health care.”
The 4-player, 18-hole scramble will feature tournament prizes and contests, including flight winners, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a putting contest. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. on the day of the event with a noon shotgun start.
Registration is $500 per team or $125 per individual, and tournament registration forms can be found at the NWAMHC Administrative Office (1100 7th Avenue – Jasper).
A range of corporate sponsorships are also available, including title sponsor, lunch sponsor, and hole sponsor.

“It’s truly an honor to serve as the golf tournament chairman again this year,” says Al Blanton, owner of Jasper-based Blanton Media Group and publisher of 78 Magazine and Talegate. “Our goal is to make this one of the most anticipated and enjoyable charitable events in Walker County while raising money for a good cause. I hope you’ll decide to support this effort by putting a team in or becoming a sponsor. We’ll see you on May 13.”
