Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center (NWAMHC) has announced the return of its annual golf scramble, set for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Horse Creek Golf Course in Dora.
Since its debut in 1982, the tournament has served as the organization’s primary fundraiser, bringing golfers together for an afternoon of competition and community support. This year’s event will be the tournament’s 40th event.
“Our annual golf tournament plays a vital role in helping us meet the behavioral health needs of the communities we serve,” says April Knight, Executive Director of Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center. “It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we’re hopeful for strong support from those who believe in the importance of accessible mental health care.”
The 4-player, 18-hole scramble will feature tournament prizes and contests, including flight winners, longest drive, closest to the pin, and a putting contest. Registration begins at 10 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start. A grab-and-go lunch will be provided after registration.
Registration is $500 per team or $125 per individual. A range of corporate sponsorships are also available, including title sponsor, lunch sponsor, and hole sponsor.

Al Blanton, owner of Jasper-based Blanton Media Group and publisher of 78 Magazine, will serve as the tournament’s chair.
