The queens are taking the stage this summer as Athletic Arts Center presents SIX: Teen Edition, the family-friendly adaptation of the international hit musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.
Performances will take place on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Pam Brown Theatre at Jasper High School.
From Tudor queens to modern-day pop icons, SIX transforms the six wives of King Henry VIII into a powerhouse girl group as they step into the spotlight to tell their own stories. Through an electrifying pop concert filled with catchy songs, humor, and high-energy performances, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr reclaim five centuries of history and turn tales of heartbreak into an uplifting celebration of confidence, resilience, and female empowerment.
The musical has become a worldwide sensation, earning acclaim on Broadway and London’s West End before inspiring productions around the globe. SIX: Teen Edition preserves the excitement and spirit of the original production while making it appropriate for young performers and audiences.
“The heart of this show is more than a history lesson; it is about self-worth, resilience, and the importance of uplifting others,” said Maria Ross Campsey, director of Athletic Arts Center. “As the queens reclaim their narratives and find their voice, they discover the strength in supporting one another rather than tearing each other down. Our cast and artistic team are thrilled to bring this unique and entertaining show to our community.”
Tickets are available now for $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for seniors and children. General admission tickets may be purchased online at athleticartsctr.com/performances or at the door on the day of each performance.
