Young Jewelers, a multifaceted jewelry business rooted in a long family legacy since 1948, is honored to announce plans for a new two-story flagship location.

The building will be constructed on the lot adjacent to the current Young Jewelers. As the business approaches 80 years in downtown Jasper, second- and third-generation owner-operators, Debbie Young Sanders and Iris Jarvis, saw an opportunity to grow while continuing the tradition of trust, craftsmanship, and personal service that has defined Young Jewelers for generations.

This new store is being built to enhance the shopping experience with welcoming spaces for events and celebrations. At its core, Young Jewelers is deeply rooted in its connection to the community, guiding how the business engages, serves, and grows alongside those it calls home. Above all, the goal is to continue serving everyone with the same warmth and care that has defined the store for decades, ensuring that every customer feels equally welcomed and valued the moment they walk through the door.

“The jewelry industry has continued to evolve in exciting ways over the years through innovation, design, and technology,” said Debbie Young Sanders, President of Young Jewelers. “As Iris and I and our valued team look toward the future, we are proud to honor our heritage while creating a space that allows us to better serve our customers.

“Our project honors the legacy of my parents, Hoyt and Evelyn Young, whose vision, integrity, and dedication built the foundation and continue to guide us as we carry the business into its next chapter.”

“This investment reflects The Young brand and the continued belief in the future of the community we have proudly served for generations,” said Iris Jarvis, Vice President of Young Jewelers. “We have never based our vision on population size, but on the caliber of the people and the strength of the community around us.”

Young Jewelers is grateful for the community’s positive response and honored to share support from local leaders.

“I am thrilled to see the Young Jewelers Family expanding their retail presence in downtown Jasper. Their significant investment reflects the pride, confidence, and forward-looking spirit that define our rapidly rising community.” – Paul Kennedy, President, Walker Area Community Foundation.

“Young Jewelers is one of the anchors of downtown Jasper. Since 1948, it has been more than just a store; it has been like a member of the family, helping us celebrate engagements, weddings, and life’s milestones while creating memories that last for generations. Since moving here, Youngs has become my favorite place for jewelry staples, custom designs, and my ever-growing “wish list.” They beautifully combine tradition with modern innovation and style. Expansions like this show what happens when a business truly believes in its community and continues to invest in it. I’m excited to see the continued excellence and the kind of long-term commitment that keeps both Young Jewelers and Jasper strong.”  – Dr. LoRissia Autery, Physician and Co-Owner of Walker Women’s Specialists.

“All of us at Laird, Robertson & Allen are thrilled to hear that we will have such good neighbors on our little corner of downtown. We join with the rest of Jasper to celebrate this progress in our downtown area and offer hearty congratulations to our friends at Young Jewelers as they take this next step.” – Russ Robertson, JD, City Attorney, City of Jasper.

Plans for the new flagship location include an anticipated groundbreaking in 2026 as preparations continue. WL
