Deidre Wilson has been named executive director of Hope For Women, a faith-based residential recovery ministry serving women in Jasper and the surrounding community.
Hope For Women offers a 12–18-month residential recovery program focused on spiritual, emotional, and physical healing. Through faith, accountability, and a strong sense of community, the ministry supports women as they rebuild their lives and step into lasting freedom and purpose.
Wilson brings both professional experience and personal insight to the role. Having walked her own recovery path, she has long been an advocate within Walker County’s recovery community, serving in peer support and leadership capacities and working to strengthen collaboration among local recovery resources. Wilson believes that her lived experience, combined with a deep commitment to faith-based restoration, positions her to lead the ministry with empathy, integrity, and clarity of vision.
“My heart is in recovery work and in empowering women to heal, grow, and walk into the life God has for them. I know what it feels like to be broken, and I know what it feels like to rise back up. Now I get to help others rise, too,” she says.
As executive director, Wilson will oversee program leadership, community partnerships, and the continued growth of the ministry’s mission to empower women through faith, compassion, and whole-person recovery.
Wilson says that, in addition to its core residential program, Hope For Women will continue to expand its holistic approach to healing through partnerships that nurture both body and mind. Residents will have access to equine therapy through Refining Fire Ranch and emotional support through HARTT Counseling and Wellness. The ministry is also preparing to add another restorative layer to the program through yoga sessions led by Nicole Goodenough.
Hope For Women remains committed to being a safe and nurturing environment where women can experience transformation, reclaim their identity in Christ, and build lives rooted in purpose and stability. WL
