Bevill State Community College (BSCC) recently received five prestigious awards at the annual conference of the Alabama Community College System Public Relations Association (ACCSPRA), held last week in Orange Beach, Alabama. These awards recognize outstanding efforts in marketing, communications, and facilities projects that support student engagement and institutional pride.
Bevill State was honored with the following awards:
- Pyramid Award (First Place) – Interior Signage: Glen R. Clem Memorial Gymnasium – Bevill State Basketball Legacy Mural
- Award of Achievement (Second Place) – Newswriting: Bevill State and Samford University Sign Agreement to Expand Transfer Pathways and Scholarship Opportunities (Tana Collins-Allred)
- Award of Achievement (Second Place) – Photography (Graphically Manipulated): Bevill State Volleyball – Rising to the Challenge (Tiffany Higgins)

- Award of Merit (Third Place) – Facilities Branding: Coach Clem’s Court: A Tribute in Every Step
The work recognized reflects the collaboration of the BSCC Department of Public Relations, Recruiting, and Advancement, including Tana Collins-Allred, Director; Tiffany Higgins, Multi-Media Coordinator; Sarah Allred, Admissions Recruiter; and Cole Richards, Admissions Recruiter. Several projects also involved significant contributions from the BSCC Facilities team.

ACCSPRA’s Pyramid Awards celebrate excellence in communications within the Alabama Community College System. The association works to enhance the image, strengthen, and promote awareness of Alabama’s community colleges through collaboration, professional development, and recognition of exemplary work.
