After 27 years of service in Jasper, with 11 of them at its current location, UPS Store #3551 has a fresh new look.
Owner Jeff Graham, who has led the Jasper location of UPS for 23 years, recently oversaw a full interior renovation, part of a company-wide initiative to modernize locations across the country.
“As each franchise comes up for renewal every ten years, UPS updates the look and feel of the stores,” Jeff explains. “Even though ours was still in great shape, we were excited to bring in the new look, which has more of an industrial feel.”

The five-day renovation took place at the end of March and brought noticeable upgrades to both form and function. The carpet was replaced with wood-style laminate, shelving went higher, and layout changes opened the floor to feel more spacious. Most notably, the store added a third point-of-sale station and a self-serve kiosk, allowing customers quicker service options and more flexibility.
“These updates have made a big difference,” Jeff says. “We’ve got more workspace, we can assist more people at once, and it’s easier to move projects from start to finish without interruption.”
While some longtime customers say they miss the store’s former, more cozy feel, most have responded positively to the update.

“Change takes a little adjusting for everybody, but most people really like the new setup,” Jeff says.
In addition to shipping, the store offers a wide array of other services, including printing, laminating, binding, faxing, and notary work, along with mailbox rentals for personal or business use.
Looking ahead, Jeff hopes to keep growing and evolving with the local community.
“We want to keep serving Jasper with the best tools and technology available to us, and making things easier and faster for the people who count on us,” he says. WL
