Athletic Arts Center is excited to present Disney’s Descendants: The Musical on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM and Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The performances will take place at Bevill State Community College’s Rowland Auditorium.

Based on the beloved Disney Channel Original Movies, this musical is packed with comedy, adventure, iconic Disney characters, and all the hit songs from the films. Set on the infamous Isle of the Lost—the notorious home of Disney’s most infamous villains—the story follows the teenage children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil. For the first time, these troublemaking youths step off the island when they are enrolled in a prep school alongside the offspring of cherished Disney heroes, forcing them to choose between following in their parents’ wicked footsteps or embracing the path of goodness.

“I’m thrilled to present Disney’s Descendants: The Musical. This production showcases a diverse community cast, featuring both youth and adults. This show is packed with high-energy singing and dancing and the original costumes, designed by Cindy Laing bring the vibrant characters to life. As a director, it’s rewarding to work this incredible cast, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the talent, teamwork, and the excitement of live theatre,” said Maria Ross Campsey, owner of Athletic Arts Center.

“A production of this size would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors: Bevill State Community College, Walker County Arts Alliance, Bivona Chiropractic Clinic, Bivona Family Dental, Garfield’s Restaurant & Pub, AMSCO, and Keonie’s Kloset,” she adds.

General admission tickets are available for $11.50 for seniors and children and $16.50 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at athleticartctr.com/performances or at the door on the day of the show.

Disney’s Descendants is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI), which supplies all authorized performance materials. For more information, please visit mtishows.com.
