For Kaden Parrish, being a standout at Sumiton Christian High School is about more than just stats. With a passion for sports and a heart for helping others, Kaden embodies the best of what it means to be a student-athlete.
Kaden plans to pursue a degree in nursing at Wallace State Community College after his May 2025 graduation, a decision driven by his desire to help those in need and his love for science.
“Science has always been my favorite subject, especially anatomy with Mr. Timmons,” Kaden shares. “He’s probably the nicest guy I’ve ever met in my entire life. He’s always got a smile on his face; if you’re having a bad day and go in there, it will get better because he will make you feel good.”
On the field, Kaden is a versatile talent. He serves as the Eagles’ quarterback under coach Jarius Williams, and on the baseball team, he’s a standout shortstop for coach Ricky Bowen. A key member of Sumiton Christian’s 2024 state championship baseball team, Kaden also earned a spot on the Daily Mountain Eagle First Team for his performance.
Now that football season has wrapped, Kaden has his sights set on leading the Eagles to back-to-back state baseball championships in 2025. With a 3.7 GPA and a reputation for hard work and determination, he’s ready to make the most of his final year at Sumiton Christian and the opportunities that lie ahead.
For Kaden, it’s all about giving his best on the field, in the classroom, and in life. Whether it’s delivering a clutch play or helping someone in need, Kaden’s dedication and heart set him apart.
