September 18 is National Cheeseburger Day!
To celebrate, The Walker Leader team visited local favorite Alabama Stackers! The folks at Alabama Stackers are always kind and dedicated to excellent service, burgers, and fries.
Although we visited to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day, we believe these Stackers favorites are worthy of celebration every day!
Two Stack Burger – Reviewed by Anna Lee
You can never go wrong with a classic cheeseburger! The Two Stack Burger from Alabama Stackers was fresh, juicy, and delicious—two meat patties served on soft bread and sauced with my go-to condiment combo, ketchup and mayo. This lunch was the perfect way to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day!
Dirty Fries – Reviewed by Jenny Lynn
If you’re looking for fries that hit the spot, Alabama Stackers’ Dirty Fries are a must-try. These hand-cut fries have that perfect balance of salt and crunch, but what really makes them stand out is going “Dirty.” They’re tossed in homemade seasoning that gives them a little kick, and then topped with ranch dressing that makes every bite even better. It’s one of those combos that you just can’t stop eating. Whether you’re grabbing them on their own or as a side, Dirty Fries are the kind of indulgence you won’t regret.
Grilled Cheese Burger – Reviewed by Ryan
Love Alabama Stackers’ burgers, but craving some cheesy, gooey, goodness of a grilled cheese? Enter the Grilled Cheese Burger. It’s the best of both worlds! Their menu says it is “a beef patty snuggled in a classic grilled cheese,” but it is truly something more. A bite into the sandwich is a nostalgic nod to childhood with the approval of adulthood. It opens with buttered bread – toasted to perfection- onto ample cheese, leading to a juicy beef patty. There is some magic going on here with its masterfully executed simplicity. Round out the meal with some hand-cut fries and a beverage of choice, and you will have a lunch that will lift you to childlike lightheartedness. WL
