Meet Cheyenne Smith, a senior at Curry High School who excels in both academics and athletics.
Cheyenne has made waves as a swimmer for Coach Brad Akins’s team.
Detailing her journey to the pool for the Yellow Jackets, Cheyenne says, “There was a girl named Chloe who swam for Curry and graduated around 2000. When I hit freshman year, I knew I wanted to swim for Curry too. It took about a year to get the program going, but by my tenth grade year, I was finally swimming!”
Cheyenne’s talents extend beyond the water. She is an exceptional student with a passion for science and maintains a commendable GPA of 3.4.
In addition to her academic and athletic commitments, she is an active member of the Beta Club, DECA Club, and Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America.
As she approaches graduation in May 2025, Cheyenne is planning for a career as a criminalistics officer.
Cheyenne is the daughter of Logan Mize and Amanda Smith.
Congratulations, Cheyenne, on your athletic and academic accomplishments. We wish you the best in your future endeavors! WL
